Quiz Night was a Huge Success

Auntie Liz organised and executed the best Quiz Night.  Sue, the Quiz Master, pitched the questions just right (although I was still pretty terrible) everyone was having a pleasant evening even as they kept putting their hands in their pockets.

I was amazed at the number of people that brought along additional raffle prizes, they arrived with posh chocolates, beauty products, wine, brandy and Scotch.

Liz and John arranged for the fish supper to arrive, that went smoothly.  Everybody enjoyed their meal.

Unfortunately our team didn't win, but we did laugh, a lot.

The grand total for the evening including ticket sales, raffle and donations was an astonishing £898!

Our sincere thanks goes to all who attended and donated, gifts and money.  But we need to make a special thanks to Liz and John, who booked everything (hall, dinner, quizmaster), sold tickets, donated prizes, chased people for payment.  You name it they did it!  Sue, the wonderful quiz master.  Louise and St. Peter's Church for allowing us to use the hall (and even set up and cleared up).
